How to play
To decide the starting team, or "honors" in golf terms, it's easy: ladies go first. If there are no ladies, flip a coin or settle it with a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors (best two out of three, obviously).
Teams alternate attempting to sink cups, with each player taking one putt per turn. Players can hit the ball from a maximum of one foot in front of their cups. After sinking a cup, cover it securely to eliminate it from play.
After one team sinks all six cups, the opposing team gets a chance to catch up. For instance, if Team A finishes first, each player on Team B takes turns trying to sink as many cups as possible until they miss. If Team B can't sink all the remaining cups, Team A wins. But if Team B succeeds, the game heads into overtime.
Overtime mirrors the original game rules, with one putt per player per turn, but only the back three cups remain uncovered. The team with "honors" from the original game, like Team A in this scenario, goes first. It's sudden death: the first team to sink all three back cups wins, no second chances allowed.
